BRIEF INFORMATION ON THE JOURNAL

Comments about the cover page
The mask on the cover page is the chiwara mask of the Bambara people of Mali. It used to award symbolically, during farming ceremonies, the best worker. It has become the symbol of the excellence.

Aims and scope of the journal
Recently, the research in Pure or Applied Mathematics in African Universities has known a rapid progress. Therefore there is now a need of creation, in the Pan African Mathematical Space, of new mathematical journals with extended contents which should take into account the new areas of research of African mathematicians, but which should be credible in the International Mathematical Community. The creation of the journal Africa Mathematics Annals corresponds to the above three aims.

Africa Mathematics Annals is a refereed Pan African Journal of Mathematics in which submitted papers are examined with rigour, following the international standards. It is indexed /abstracted in Mathematical Reviews and Zentralblatt für Mathematik.

It publishes original research articles on all areas of Mathematics and their Applications to various domains including Probability, Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Modelling, Mathematical Biology, History of Mathematics in Africa, Mathematics Didactics etc.
